Have you lost your Health Insurance Coverage as a result of COVID-19?
Mohawk Valley Perinatal Network at the Neighborhood Center has New York State Navigators working remotely and ready to help you with your health insurance through New York State of Health. We service Madison and Oneida counties, but are able to
take phone calls from surrounding areas.
New York State of Health, also known as the Marketplace, has extended the open
enrollment period through June 15, 2020. They have also expanded the navigator’s
ability to help you complete your application entirely on the phone.
Anyone who has lost Health Insurance due to the COVID 19 virus is eligible to apply for insurance during the extended open enrollment period ending June 15
Child Health Plus, Medicaid, and Essential Plans can be opened any time of the year.
All new applications can be completed on the phone.
All Marketplace renewals for Medicaid, Essential Plan and Child Health Plus for the
months of March, April, May and June will have an automatic four-month extension to
renew for the next year.
Anyone who has been laid off during this time will be able to attest to losing their Health Insurance and will not need to provide a letter from their former employer proving the end date of coverage.
